What is it used for?
FLUCONAZOLE is an effective antifungal medicine. It is used to treat certain fungal and yeast infections.

- electrolyte abnormalities
- history of irregular heart beat
- kidney disease
- an unusual or allergic reaction to fluconazole, other azole antifungals, medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
- pregnant or trying to get pregnant
- breast-feeding
How should I use this medicine?
This medicine should be taken orally. Please do not take it more often than you are prescribed to.
Consult your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine by children. Special care may be necessary. This medicine has been used for treatment of children starting from 6 months of age.
Overdosage: If you suspect an overdosage, contact the nearest poison control center or emergency room immediately.
NOTE: This medicine is only intended for your use. Never share it with the others.
What if I miss a dose?
If you missed a dose, it should be taken as soon as possible. If the time has almost come for your next dose, you should only take that one. Never take double or extra doses.
What are the possible interactions with other medicine?

This medicine might also interact with the following medications:

- phenytoin
- ramelteon
- rifabutin
- rifampin

- tacrolimus
- terfenadine
- theophylline
- warfarin
This list is not all-inclusive. Provide your doctor with a list of all the medicines, herbs, non-prescription drugs, or dietary supplements that you are taking. Also let them know whether you smoke, drink alcohol, or use illegal drugs. Some of those items might interact with your treatment course.
Is there anything I should pay attention to while taking it?
While undergoing the treatment course, you should be visiting your doctor for regular check-ups. If the treatment lasts for a long time, you may need a blood test. Let your doctor know if there is no visible improvement to your symptoms. Some fungal infections may require many weeks or months of treatment to be cured completely.

- allergic reactions like skin rash or itching, hives, swelling of the lips, mouth, tongue, or throat
- dark urine
- feeling dizzy or faint
- irregular heartbeat or chest pain
- redness, blistering, peeling or loosening of the skin, including inside the mouth
- trouble breathing
- unusual bruising or bleeding
- vomiting
- yellowing of the eyes or skin
Side effects that usually do not require medical attention (report to your doctor or health care professional if they continue or are bothersome):
- changes in how food tastes
- diarrhea
- headache
- stomach upset or nausea
Other side effects are also possible, the above list is not all inclusive.
Where should I store it?
Keep it out of the children’s reach.
Store it at the room temperatures below 30 degrees C (86 degrees F). Dispose of any medicine after the expiration date is reached.
